Trendline Support
Stocks sitting on a trendline right now, on 15-minute to monthly charts, and on how many chart speeds at once.
Examples taken from the live lists on 2 Oct 2026. Prices and rows change every hour; the steps do not.
What this tab finds
Trendline Support lists the stocks whose price is sitting on a trendline right now. A trendline is a straight line drawn through at least three turning points on a chart: lows for a support line under the price, highs for a resistance line above it. The site draws these lines itself, for every stock, on ten chart speeds from 15 minutes to 1 month. You do not draw anything.
Each row is one stock. The row tells you which chart speeds it is on a line on, whether those lines are support or resistance, which way they slope, how many times price has touched the best one, and how far price is from the nearest one.
- Support: a line under the price, drawn through lows. Price has bounced off it before.
- Resistance: a line above the price, drawn through highs. Price has turned down at it before.
- On a line: the last traded price is inside your Within setting of the line - 1% by default.
- Chart speed (timeframe): how much time one candle covers - 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week and so on.
The lines are fitted from closed candles only. Intraday speeds (15 min to 4 hour) are built from 15-minute candles; Daily and slower are built from daily candles. The table is published after the evening refresh and on every live update during market hours.
Keep in mind. This tab finds stocks at a line. It does not say the line will hold, or which way price will go next. It is a finder, not a forecast.
Read a row
Columns from left to right, with SUNPHARMA's row as the example - default settings (Within 1%, Min touches ×3, any line, any state), 2 Oct 2026, prices as of the 1 Oct close.
| Column | What it means | SUNPHARMA, 2 Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Stock | The stock's symbol. Click it to open its chart with its trendlines. | SUNPHARMA |
| LTP | Last traded price, from the newest closed candle. | 1,801.00 |
| Chg | The day's change in percent. Green is up, red is down. | -0.86% |
| At support | Every chart speed on which price is sitting on a support line. A solid chip is an intact or testing line; a dashed, faded chip means the only lines on that speed are retests (broken lines price has come back to). | 15m 30m 1H 2H 4H 1D 3D 2W |
| Sup shape | Which way the nearest support line slopes, and on which speed: Rising (higher lows), Floor (flat - the same price holding), or Falling (a line under a decline). A dashed underline means that line is a retest. | ↘ Falling 1D |
| At resistance | Every chart speed on which price is sitting just under (or at) a resistance line. Same solid and dashed chips as At support. | 3D 1W (both dashed - retests) |
| Res shape | Which way the nearest resistance slopes: Rising, Ceiling (flat) or Falling, and on which speed. | → Ceiling 3D (dashed underline - a retest) |
| Pattern | The figure the support and resistance lines make together on ONE chart speed, named with that speed. Blank when no speed has both sides making a named figure. | Ascending triangle 3D |
| Horizontal level | A flat support or resistance level (1-day, 1-week or 1-month level, 52-week high/low, all-time high, last week's or month's high/low) that one of this row's trendlines runs through. A dash means none. | (varies with the Levels data; read it on the page) |
| TFs | How many chart speeds have at least one line passing your toolbar settings. The table is sorted on this by default, highest first. | 9 |
| Touches | The touch count of the most-touched line in the row. | ×8 (the 2-week rising support) |
| Dist | Distance from price to the nearest line, in percent. Positive: price is above that line. Negative: price is below it. | +0.00% (the daily falling support at 1,800.93) |
The summary line above the table reads like: "N stocks on a trendline · at least ×3 · within 1% · X lines over Y stocks in <your universe> · as of <date time>". The as-of time is when the line table was last published. On 2 Oct it showed a 2 Oct afternoon time, but 2 Oct was a holiday, so the candles end at the 1 Oct close.
Tip. Hover over any chip, shape or pattern for a one-line explanation. A dashed chip's hover text says "broken support price has come back to - a retest, not an unbroken line".
Keep in mind. TFs counts chart speeds, not separate events. Nine speeds near one price is the same price seen nine ways - it is agreement, not nine reasons.
The toolbar controls
The toolbar asks the question. Each control changes which lines count; the table is rebuilt from scratch with the new settings. Every setting is written into the page address (URL), shown here as the URL parameter name.
| Control | Options | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Within (w) | Touching, 0.25%, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3% | 1% | How close price must be to a line to count as ON it. Touching is not a percentage: it uses the site's own test - price within 0.35 of the stock's average candle size (ATR) on that speed - so it means the same thing on a 15-minute chart and a monthly one. |
| Min touches (t) | ×2, ×3, ×4, ×5, ×6 | ×3 | How many turning points must sit on the line. Two points make any line; three is the first count that is evidence. |
| On at least (n) | 1 timeframe up to 10 timeframes | 1 timeframe | Keeps only stocks whose TFs count is at least this. |
| Timeframe (tf) | Any timeframe, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hour, 4 hour, Daily, 3 day, Weekly, 2 week, Monthly | Any timeframe | Any shows every speed as chips. Picking one keeps stocks on a line on that speed, and the row's chips, shapes, touches and distance then describe that speed. TFs still counts all speeds. |
| Line (k) | Any, Support, Resistance | Any | Only support lines, only resistance lines, or both. |
| State (s), the box next to Line | Any state, Intact, Testing, Retest | Any state | Intact: no candle has closed through the line. Retest: the line was broken and price has come back to it. See States below for Testing. |
| Horizontal level (hl) | Not needed, Any level, 1 Day level, 1 Week level, 1 Month level, 52-week high/low, All-time high, Last week's high/low, Last month's high/low | Not needed | Keeps only stocks where one of the row's trendlines runs through a flat support or resistance level of that kind. |
| Save scan | - | - | Shown when you are signed in and have changed at least one setting. Saves the whole page address under a name. |
Sorting: click a column heading to sort on it. Click it again to reverse. Stock starts A to Z; every other column starts highest first. Dist sorts on size, ignoring the sign, so -0.10% counts as nearer than +0.40%. The default order is TFs (most speeds first), then Touches, then Dist.
Two things outside the toolbar also narrow the table: the Universe box in the header (Nifty lists, sectors, or your own watchlists) and the filters in the left sidebar. The Seasonal, price-level and candlestick-pattern chips in the sidebar do not narrow this tab.
Tip. The table shows at most 120 rows. When more stocks qualify, the summary line says "showing the top 120" - tighten Within, raise Min touches, or add a column filter to see the rest.
Keep in mind. No stock on a line? The empty message suggests widening the band, dropping to ×2 touches, allowing retests, or clearing the column filters. On 2 Oct 2026, ×2 and ×3 returned exactly the same stocks, because almost every published line already has three or more touches.
Column filters (the boxes under the headings)
Under every heading is a small box that reads "All". It narrows the answer already on screen without changing the toolbar's question - like a spreadsheet filter. Click the box to open its list.
| Column | Kind of box | What you can pick |
|---|---|---|
| Stock | Search + tick several | A search box, then a tick list of every stock in the current answer. |
| At support, At resistance | Tick several | The chart speeds present in the column (15m ... 1M), plus "Not on any" for rows with no line on that side. Picking 1D means the row really has a daily chip - it does not also catch 3D. |
| Sup shape, Res shape | Tick several | Rising / Floor / Falling (support) or Rising / Ceiling / Falling (resistance), plus "Not on any". |
| Pattern | Tick several | Ascending triangle, Descending triangle, Coil, Rising channel, Falling channel, Range, Broadening - only the ones present - plus "Not on any". |
| LTP | One preset | Under 250, 250 - 500, 500 - 1,000, 1,000 - 2,500, 2,500 - 5,000, Over 5,000 |
| Chg | One preset | Up, Down, Up over 1%, Up over 2%, Down over 1%, Down over 2% |
| TFs | One preset | 2 or more, 3 or more, 4 or more, 5 or more, Exactly 1 |
| Touches | One preset | 3 or more, 4 or more, 5 or more, 6 or more |
| Dist | One preset | Within 0.25%, Within 0.5%, Within 1%, Above the line, Below the line |
- Several ticks in one box mean OR: At support = 1D and 1W keeps rows on either.
- Boxes in different columns combine with AND: every box must match.
- A number box takes one preset. Click the picked preset again, or press Clear at the top of the list, to remove it.
- The box shows "All", the one value picked, or "2 picked", "3 picked" and so on. A box in use has a coloured border.
- The lists offer only what is in the current answer, so a speed nobody is on today is not offered.
- When a column filter empties the table, a "Clear the column filters" button appears.
Every pick is written into the page address as cf_<column>=..., for example cf_support_tfs=D or cf_best_touches=>=5. That means a column filter survives a page refresh, can be bookmarked or sent to someone, and is kept by Save scan.
Tip. Pin one speed in At support (for example only 1D) and clicking a stock opens its chart on that speed, with the shape cell describing that speed's line.
Timeframes (chart speeds)
A line is fitted separately on each chart speed. The same stock can have a rising support on the 15-minute chart and a falling resistance on the weekly - both are true at once, on different time scales.
| Speed | Chip | Built from | One candle covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15 min | 15m | 15-minute candles | 15 minutes |
| 30 min | 30m | 15-minute candles | 30 minutes |
| 1 hour | 1H | 15-minute candles | 1 hour |
| 2 hour | 2H | 15-minute candles | 2 hours |
| 4 hour | 4H | 15-minute candles | 4 hours |
| Daily | 1D | daily candles | 1 trading day |
| 3 day | 3D | daily candles | 3 trading days |
| Weekly | 1W | daily candles | 1 week |
| 2 week | 2W | daily candles | 2 weeks |
| Monthly | 1M | daily candles | 1 month |
2 month and 3 month lines are also calculated, but are still being checked, so they are not in this table or its controls. You can still see them on a stock's chart: they appear dimmed in the chart's speed row with the note "Shown for reference - this timeframe is still being validated".
"On how many speeds" is the TFs column: the number of chart speeds where the stock has at least one line passing your Within, Min touches, Line and State settings. A stock on a line on the 15-minute, 1-hour and daily charts has TFs 3. The On at least control and the TFs column filter both screen on this number.
Confirmed by a higher timeframe: the engine checks every line against the lines on the next speed up (15 min against 30 min, 1 hour against 2 hour, Daily against 3 day, 2 week against Monthly, and so on). If a support or resistance line on the slower chart runs within half a candle's average size of this line, at both its start and its end, the line is marked as confirmed and ranked higher. You see this in the chart's line list, in the Notes column, as "also on M", "also on 2h" and so on (the speed's short code).
Example
DABUR: a 2-week support confirmed by the monthly
2 Oct 2026, close 374.25. DABUR's 2-week chart has a falling support at 372.44 with ×4 touches, price +0.48% above it, and its Notes read "also on M": the monthly chart has its own falling support (×5 touches, Oct 2023 to Sep 2026) running at the same 372.44. Two speeds fitted separately landed on one price.
Open it on the site →Keep in mind. A speed needs enough history before it gets lines (for example 60 candles on the intraday speeds, 30 on the monthly). A recently listed stock may show "Not enough history on the ... chart yet" for its slow speeds.
Line states: intact, testing, broken, retest
Every line has one of four states. The rules use the stock's average candle size on that speed (ATR - average true range: the typical distance from high to low of one candle, over the last 14 candles), and only candle closes count. A wick poking through a line never breaks it.
| State | What happened | In this table |
|---|---|---|
| Intact | No candle has closed through the line. | Solid chip. Drawn on the chart by default. |
| Testing (the engine's word is pending) | A candle closed a little through the line. The next three candles decide whether that was a break or a shake-out. | Solid chip. Drawn on the chart by default. |
| Broken | Price closed clearly through: by half an ATR or more, or two closes in a row a quarter ATR beyond, or a small close through that was not won back within three candles. | Not in the table at all. Shown on the chart only if you switch Lines to All. |
| Retest | The line was broken and price has recently come back to it from the other side. Old support may now act as resistance, and old resistance as support. | Dashed, faded chip (when all of that speed's lines on that side are retests); dashed underline on the shape. Hidden on the chart's default Lines view, but the line the row names is drawn for you. |
What it means for you: an intact support is a line price has respected so far. A testing line is being decided right now. A retest is a different story from an unbroken line - the line has already failed once and price is back at it from the other side. The row reading "At support" with dashed chips is a stock sitting at a broken support, often from below.
Example
SCI: all support chips are retests
2 Oct 2026, LTP 267.05. With State = Retest, SCI shows At support 15m 30m 1H 2H 4H, all dashed, Sup shape Floor 30m, Touches ×6, Dist -0.13%. Its 30-minute floor sits at 267.39 - price closed below it and is now just under it. These are broken supports price has returned to, not unbroken floors.
Open it on the site →Keep in mind. The Testing choice in the state box does not currently narrow the table: on 2 Oct 2026 picking it returned the same rows as Any state, and the box went back to "Any state". To see testing lines, open a stock's chart - its line list shows each line's state.
Worked scenarios
Each scenario below uses real rows from 2 Oct 2026 (a market holiday - prices are the 1 Oct close). A stock appears only if it is in the universe you have picked in the header; the numbers will have moved by the time you read this.
1. Find stocks on a rising daily support within 1%
- Set Timeframe to Daily.
- Set Line to Support.
- Leave Within at 1% (the default).
- Open the box under Sup shape and tick Rising.
- Sort by Touches if you want the most-tested lines first.
Example
EMCURE on a 10-touch rising daily support
2 Oct 2026: EMCURE, LTP 1,944.60, At support 1D, Sup shape Rising 1D, Touches ×10, Dist +0.72%. Its chart shows the rising support at 1,930.70, intact, with touches from March 2026 onward, and Notes "also on 3D" - the 3-day chart has a matching line.
Open it on the site →2. Only lines with 5 or more touches
- Set Min touches to ×5. Now only lines with five or more touches count anywhere in the row, including TFs.
- Alternatively, keep Min touches at ×3 and use the Touches column box: "5 or more". That keeps rows whose best line has 5+, but the other chips can still be 3-touch lines.
Example
TIMKEN: a 16-touch daily floor
2 Oct 2026, Min touches ×5: TIMKEN, LTP 3,098.80, At support 1H 2H 4H 1D 3D 2W, Sup shape Floor 1D, Touches ×16, Dist +0.14%. The daily floor runs at 3,094.55 and is marked "also on 3D".
Open it on the site →3. Stocks on a line on 3 or more timeframes at once
- Set On at least to 3 timeframes (or use the TFs box: "3 or more").
- Keep the default sort - most timeframes first.
- Read the chips: solid chips are live lines, dashed are retests. A high TFs made mostly of dashed chips is a stock back at broken lines.
Example
CRISIL: on a line on 10 speeds - mostly retests
2 Oct 2026, LTP 4,428.60, Chg -0.50%: TFs 10, At support 15m 30m 1H 2H 4H (15m to 2H dashed), At resistance 15m 1D 3D 1W 2W 1M (all dashed except 1M), Res shape Falling 1W, Pattern Descending triangle 15m, Touches ×6, Dist +0.10%. The weekly falling resistance at 4,424.21 is a retest; the monthly falling resistance at 4,409.59 is intact.
Open it on the site →4. Find weekly resistance just above price
- Set Timeframe to Weekly and Line to Resistance.
- In the Dist box pick "Below the line" - price under the resistance, so the line is above.
- Optionally set State to Intact to leave out broken lines price has come back to.
- Sort by Dist to put the nearest first.
Example
LEMONTREE under a falling weekly resistance
2 Oct 2026: LEMONTREE, LTP 107.67 (Chg +3.28% on 1 Oct), At resistance 1W, Res shape Falling 1W, Touches ×4, Dist -0.47%. The weekly falling resistance is intact and runs at 108.18.
Open it on the site →5. Check one stock - open its chart
- Type the symbol in the Stock box's search and tick it (or just find its row).
- Click the symbol. A chart opens on the speed carrying the row's nearest line (or on the speed you pinned with Timeframe or a single-speed chip filter).
- Read the line list under the chart: Line, State, Touches, Line now (the line's price today), Price vs line, Notes.
- Click another speed in the row above the chart to redraw it without closing the window.
- Click a line in the list to pick it out on the chart, even if the Lines setting is hiding it.
Example
SUNPHARMA on its daily chart
2 Oct 2026: clicking SUNPHARMA opens the Daily chart, titled "SUNPHARMA · Daily · 2 lines at ×3+". The list shows a Falling support, Intact, ×3, Line now 1,800.93, Price vs line +0.00% (touches 18 Aug, 15 Sep and 1 Oct 2026), and a Falling resistance, Intact, ×4, Line now 1,833.85, Price vs line -1.79%, Notes "Failed break". Price closed between the two.
Open it on the site →6. See a 1-month trendline on the 1-week and 1-day chart
- Click the stock to open its chart.
- In the speed row, click Weekly.
- Open Layers and, under "Trendlines from", tick Monthly. The monthly chart's lines are laid on the weekly candles.
- Click Daily in the speed row; check Monthly is still ticked under "Trendlines from". The same monthly line now runs across daily candles.
- For more on this, see the chart guide: /guide/chart#other-timeframes.
Example
DABUR's monthly falling support on the weekly and daily
2 Oct 2026, close 374.25. DABUR's monthly chart has a falling support, intact, ×5 touches (Oct 2023, Apr 2024, Apr 2025, Apr 2026, Sep 2026), running at 372.44 - price +0.48% above it. On the weekly chart the own lines include a flat support at 371.70 (×3); ticking Monthly adds the monthly line at 372.44 just above it. On the daily chart, the nearest own support is far lower (a falling support at 354.23), so the monthly line is what shows the level price is sitting on.
Open it on the site →7. Use Touching instead of a percentage
- Set Within to Touching.
- Compare TFs with what it was at 1%. Slow speeds gain lines: a monthly candle is large, so a line 1-2% away can still be touching in candle terms.
Example
HAL: 6 speeds at 1%, 9 at Touching
2 Oct 2026, LTP 4,601.00. At Within 1%, HAL shows TFs 6. At Touching it shows TFs 9 - 3D, 1W, 2W and 1M come in while 2H drops out. Its monthly rising support at 4,521.22 is 1.76% below price but only 0.12 of a monthly candle's average size away. Pattern then reads Coil 1M (rising support, falling resistance on the monthly). Touches ×12, Dist +0.07%.
Open it on the site →8. Find a named pattern, and check what it is made of
- Open the Pattern box and tick Ascending triangle.
- Read the speed next to the pattern name - that is the one chart where both lines are.
- Open the stock and click that speed to see both lines and their states.
Example
MEDANTA: Ascending triangle 1D
2 Oct 2026, LTP 1,357.30: Pattern Ascending triangle 1D. On the daily chart: a rising support at 1,346.72 (×3, intact) and a ceiling at 1,345.81 (×5) - but the ceiling is a retest: price has already closed above it and come back. The pattern name comes from the two slopes only, not their states, so always check the line list.
Open it on the site →9. Save a scan
- Set the toolbar and column filters the way you want (for example scenario 1).
- Press Save scan at the right of the toolbar. It appears only after at least one setting differs from the default.
- Type a name (and an optional note), then press Keep.
- Your saved scans are listed on the Watchlists page under "Saved scans". Click one to reopen the tab with every setting, including column filters.
Example
"Rising daily support" saved
Saving scenario 1 keeps the address /intraday?tf=D&k=support&cf_support_shape==rising. Reopened on 2 Oct 2026 it listed EMCURE (×10, +0.72%) among the rising daily supports. Reopened another day, it runs the same question on that day's lines - the list will be different.
Open it on the site →10. Watchlist only
- Sign in and add stocks to a watchlist (the star on a stock, or the Watchlists tab).
- In the header's Universe box, look under "Your watchlists" and pick your list (shown as ★ and its name).
- The tab now screens only that list. The summary line ends "... lines over N stocks in ★ <list name>".
Example
A list of SUNPHARMA, DABUR and TIMKEN
At default settings on 2 Oct 2026 all three would be listed: SUNPHARMA TFs 9 (Dist +0.00%), DABUR TFs 9 (Dist -0.04%, Pattern Falling channel 2H), TIMKEN TFs 7 (Touches ×16, Dist +0.14%).
11. Retests only
- Set State to Retest. Now only broken lines price has come back to count.
- Read Dist's sign with the side: a support retest with negative Dist means price is just under the old support.
Example
LEMONTREE back at its 2-hour ceiling
2 Oct 2026, State = Retest: LEMONTREE, LTP 107.67, At resistance 15m 30m 1H 2H, Res shape Ceiling 2H, Touches ×11, Dist +0.10%. Its 2-hour ceiling at 107.56 (×11) was broken upward and price is sitting just above it.
Open it on the site →The chart that opens
Clicking a stock opens its trendline chart in a window. It opens on the speed the row is about: the Timeframe you picked, or the single speed you filtered At support or At resistance to, or otherwise the speed carrying the row's nearest line. The title reads "<stock> · <speed> · N lines at ×3+", counting the lines drawn.
- Speed row: 15 min to 3 month. Click to redraw; the window stays open. 2 month and 3 month are dimmed (still being validated).
- Lines: Current (intact and testing lines only - the default), + Retests, or All (broken lines too).
- Layers: under "Trendlines from", lay a slower chart's lines on these candles; under "On the chart", add other layers.
- The line list under the chart: every line counted at your Min touches, nearest first, with "not drawn" beside any the Lines setting hides. Click a line to draw it.
- Notes column: "also on <speed>" when a slower chart confirms the line, and marks such as False break, Failed break, Spring, 1-2-3 confirmed, Steep.
- A TradingView button opens the same stock there.
Tip. Full chart help - zoom, Layers, saving your default, lines from other timeframes - is in the chart guide: /guide/chart.
What a line does not tell you
- That the line will hold. Many lines break; a broken support is exactly what a retest row is.
- Which way price will move next. Sitting on a support is not a buy signal, and sitting under a resistance is not a sell signal.
- That more touches or more speeds make a better trade. They make a line more established; nothing here has measured what follows.
- Anything about news, results, volume or the wider market.
- Where to put a stop or a target. The line's price is a reference, not a plan.
Keep in mind. Trendline Support is a finder, not a forecast. It shows where price is relative to lines drawn from past turning points. The decision - and the risk - is yours.
Remember also that lines are redrawn as new candles close. A line can change, gain touches, become testing or break between one update and the next, and a stock can leave the table.

| Confirmed (also on ...) | A slower speed has a line in the same place. |
| Floor / Ceiling | A flat support / a flat resistance. |
| False break / Spring | Price went through the line and closed back on the right side - counted as a touch. |
| Ascending triangle | Rising support under a flat resistance, on one speed. |
| Descending triangle | Flat support under a falling resistance. |
| Coil | Rising support under falling resistance - both closing in. |
| Rising / Falling channel | Support and resistance both rising, or both falling. |
| Range | Flat support and flat resistance - a box. |
| Broadening | Falling support under rising resistance - widening. |
